MotherReader's 48 Hour Book Challenge

When I heard the weekend for this year's Challenge, I didn't think I'd be able to do it.  I've had a big event cancelled so even though it's a still crazy weekend, but I think I can carve out at least twelve hours to read during it.
Because I hadn't planned to do the challenge, I am in the middle of Tom Clancy's book, Command Authority.  It certainly wouldn't be my first choice to read this weekend, but I stink at reading more than one book at a time so I'll finish it before I start on the diverse titles I have on my to-read stack (reading diverse books for children and young adults is this year's theme).
It's been a rotten week, so I'm looking forward to a weekend of reading and relaxing!

Hope you gather some books and get a little bit of relaxation in. That's why the challenge is great. Sorry, I HAVE to read for two days straight!

Yes we do need a chance to relax. Last week was testing week at our school and it may have been the most stressful work week I've ever experienced (and this is my 25th year).

I also used to find testing week stressful for the kids as well as myself. I hope you can relax with a few good books this weekend.

I feel you! I was reading Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" for the first time when the Challenge started and I didn't have a chance to finish it either.

AND I'm also no good at reading multiple books at once. It almost killed me to put it down and pick up another. But I wanted to start fresh.

As soon as this is done I'll be picking it up again - hopefully my brain/sad-sack memory won't put up too much of a fight! I do love me some Neil Gaiman!

Here's my Starting Line (7am Friday). I've written two review since then, but am now sadly (covertly blogging) at work. So I've had to put the reading on hold for the day.

Good luck with the Challenge!
